Looking over the last few post on my tumble blog, it has become clear I am writing two very different blogs. I am going on hiatus for the time being to work on a second blog, then.
Up until just yesterday, I had some basic CSS thrown up to make my blog look… well different. Today, I picked a theme! Now, I can set about customizing it, but that means there will be a lot of changes over the next… well, who knows how long?
Something has been eating at me lately. Earlier in the year, while we were all having lunch in the Science room, Gabe made a distasteful joke. I then commented that the subject of said jokes was never funny. And on paper, that should be true. People got after Gabe and he left the room embarrassed. But, I didn’t start on Gabe because I wanted to end insensitive speech, after all, we all make unsavory comments sooner or later. No, I said that because I wanted to be part of the group. More popular, in a sense. Although Gabe probably shouldn’t have said what he did, I pointed it out for all the wrong reasons and he caught way more flak than he needed to. I’m sharing this because I think it’s interesting how things are not as black and white as they seem. You can do the right things for the wrong reasons and still be in the wrong. However, I know that in the future, I will be better for getting this off my chest.
I’ve been playing Thomas Was Alone, Proteus, and Hotline Miami this week. The Humble Indie Bundle 8 may not have included many big-name games, but it was still spectacular.
